Matched Trilogy

Matched Series by Ally Condie

I have read Matched and Crossed and I am up to reading Reached which is the last book. I don't think I will ever read the last book or maybe I will, just to find out the ending. The first book interested me with the concept of having your life decided for you. Having finished Matched I managed to read the second book Crossed but not without reading other books in-between. Ally Condie wrote about a girl called Cassia in a world where everything is controlled. This left little to no room for her as a writer to include excitement and expand on what was once a great idea. The description might sound interesting and the first book might start that way but in my opinion the climax never comes (not a good one anyway).

Short Description about Matched:

Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate... until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.
