Numbers Trilogy

Numbers Trilogy by Rachel Ward

This book isn't one that I would normally read as I prefer fantasy related books. Although it was not to my taste I enjoyed the plot line and found the book to be quite interesting. I am up to reading the last book (infinity), even though I haven't started, from the blurb on the back it looks like I am in store for a few more surprises. If you are looking for a change of genre I recommend this trilogy, it is gritty, bold and utterly unique. Try to imagine looking into peoples eyes and seeing the date they will die, how horrific it would be to know when your loved ones would pass.

Blurb from book:
Ever since she was child, Jem has kept a secret: Whenever she meets someone new, no matter who, as soon as she looks into their eyes, a number pops into her head. That number is a date: the date they will die.

Burdened with such awful awareness, Jem avoids relationships. Until she meets Spider, another outsider, and takes a chance. The two plan a trip to the city. But while waiting to ride the Eye ferris wheel, Jem is terrified to see that all the other tourists in line flash the same number. Today's number. Today's date. Terrorists are going to attack London.
